I built this platform because, as a web designer, I had MASSIVE trouble finding SOLID images of black people for use in my website illustrations. Now, don't get me wrong, there are BEAUTIFUL illustrations out there for use on digital projects.
However, there just wasn't enough diversity.
If I did find images, it was just folks with a darker hue. They lacked the hair styles, body types and correct skin tones of black people. So, we decided to do it ourselves.
I employed the community to help me come up with concepts and we designed beautiful illustrations for use with your digital projects. With more than 40,000 downloads in a few weeks, we've been on an amazing journey to level the playing field with amazing images for personal and commercial use.
