Originally from Greensboro, NC, Dominique grew up doodling on paper at church with her mother. By adolescence, she was selling portraits and drawing for family members. Her first mentor helped her stumble into Photoshop, and by the age of 17, she received her first scholarship in the arts and pursued a degree in graphic design.
After moving to Charlotte, NC, to start her career in agency employment, she quickly understood that she had what it took to go on her own and began to prepare for her corporate departure to work for herself full-time. While sustaining her full-time job designing for Fortune 500 companies, she moonlighted freelance work to gain additional experience.
Like countless other business owners, she took a leap of faith during the Covid pandemic. She began to work for herself full-time, using her years of experience to help dozens of businesses with brand strategy, design, and illustration. She has since become a published illustrator and designer, dedicating her time to helping businesses and non-profits in her area. Dominique currently lives with her dog, Pepper, and plans to expand her reach by collaborating with businesses that align with her beliefs and launching her own merch store.
